[Unclutterer] Behavioral clutter: Texting while driving | Unclutterer: Those who drive with other people in the car have conversations all the time while driving, and I don’t see it as any different if it’s on the phone or in person, so long as you don’t need to take your eyes off the road while operating your phone. That said, there are some people who just *can’t* concentrate on driving while talking (I’ve been in the car with a few), and EVERYONE should avoid having emotionally or intellecutally intense conversations of any kind while driving.

[Whimsy] Dangers of Texting & Driving - GRAPHIC! | Whimsy: I watched this video a few days ago and it’s still embedded in my brain.  There will no doubt be those who condemn its graphic nature and discourage it’s viewing.  But I’m here to tell you this.  If my kid was 16, driving around with her little friends in MY car, faces all pressed up against cell-phones, completely oblivious to any element of danger…..then I would sit her down and make her watch this video.  If it takes something this graphic to get these kids to sit up and truly see the dangers of texting while driving, then I’m all for it.  My child’s life is more valuable to me than censorship.

Sometimes the fear of punishment influences our decisions.
