Funky Cars > Take the wheel and steer

[thoughts of the driver] Yesterday I got my car back from the body shop, getting a new right-front fender, the door fixed, and both items sprayed cost me 82.141 ISK, or well, cost my friend sulkd that amount. It’s a rather good deal, given that they even used leftover paint to fill in holes in the hood where paint had chipped, and cleaned the whole car inside and out. If you’re in iceland, and need quality workmanship and fair pricing on car bodywork, I recommend “Réttingaverkstæði Hjartar”.

http://louisianablogs.org [Louisiana Blogs] How do I get traffic, officer?: What's sad is that I went at 10 am. I was up at 6:30 (late for me) and out on the fenceline at 7 swinging an idiot stick with more than idiotic fury (the shoulder tells me so right now) and it was hot then, so I guess I got what I deserved if not expected. I also went early to get to Wal-Fart before the idjits arrive. When Church lets out Wal-Mart fills with brightly-coloured Sunday Best Idiots who are all looking for just the right loaf of french bread or just the particular car battery they need to get home, and as much as I hate that place I utterly REFUSE to set foot in there on a Sunday afternoon.

http://righttowisdoms.blogspot.com [Red-StaterWisdoms] Tony Vickio Lap 16: The show is over and a stage, towed by a brand new John Deere (track sponsor) tractor is pulled into place. A bus pulls up and right in front of us, the drivers start piling out of the bus. The Driver Introductions are about to begin. I got some good photos!

http://errantapostrophes.blogspot.com [Errant Apostrophes] Command Performance: After meeting Felix's wife, I was then introduced to the man they are hiring to paint the house. Ex-hippie who is probably not reporting the vast majority of his income to the IRS, you know the type. Seems like a nice enough guy, though I'm not sure I would be terribly comfortable hiring him to paint my home while I'm gone on vacation. But, then, it's not really my decision, now, is it?

living spacehttp://spaces.msn.com/members/livingspace [living space] In the footsteps of the great artists: We wandered around for hours...filling our souls with ancient and modern joy in colors, texture, and more. Where else, I mused, can I go to stand in front of paintings that were created by Van Gogh, Mary Cassatt (I love her), Renoir, Monet, Gaugin, Seurat, and more? I could stand right in front of them, an arm's length away, looking at the paint slapped on the canvas (I love that about Van Gogh's Landscape at Saint Remy), thinking "I'll bet Van Gogh stood about this far away when he was painting it 200 years ago. What was he thinking?

http://theyarnjunkie.blogspot.com [Theyarnjunkie.blogspot.com] Yarn Junkie's Blog: Each year the guys at Boeing pick a family to help out at Christmas. It's always been a military family but this year, when they called the local bases, they found that the military families were already well taken care of. Rick mentioned that he knew the Oliver family and how Heather was slowly dyeing and the family was incurring all sorts of medical bills that they couldn't hope to pay. They took up a generous collection and when Rick asked the Olivers what Heather would like for Christmas, there was only one thing, to see the Nutcracker.

[Kwicz.com] Weblog Archive - kwicz.com: * Fabric and bead shopping occurred yesterday, and I bought some gorgeous two-way stretch fabric with a gold and green pattern for a top, and some kinda batiste-weight crinkle polyester for a skirt, both for belly dancing. My sister got some really cute cotton prints and eyelet for her first garment sewing adventure - she's making matching dresses for her girls. Mom and I went to the bead store and we found the neatest findings I've ever seen: multi-strand end pieces in different styles. Needless to say, I bought some, along with the beads to finish embellishing the triangle bead bracelet and start on the next freeform swap piece.

Blogger.xs4all.nlhttp://blogger.xs4all.nl [Blogger.xs4all.nl] Argentumfeles' Weblog - Sunday, May 15, 2005 Entries: I do take on challenges ne. I was thinking about taking the angel out of the right one and replacing the one behind with the left one or maybe on the right front (?). Not only do I need to draw it out first on paper....but also paint it small on the current wallpaper color (please leave scraps mom n dad...) just so I know it won't clash with anything.

[Cootiehog.com] Cootiehog: I suppose it's because I started reading her books when I was a young teen visiting my grandmother's house during summer vacation. She had a wall of books in her basement and one summer I read every Danielle Steel book she had on the shelves. From then on it just became a habit to pick up her books. I've read some real clunkers during the years (big shout out to "Granny Dan" )
