Sad day for Formula One

http://tworedboots.co.uk/blog [just another morning here] Ah well, I guess at least we can cook dinner a bit sooner, as the race will have a fairly foregone conclusion …

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

http://nakedcamei.blogspot.com [Naked Came I] Here's my list of the best indie films of 2004. Th...: Best friends Simon Yates and Joe Simpson are two British climbers who believe in "extreme climbing." Instead of base camps and lots of assistants, they believe in no base camps and no radios and nothing but what they can carry on their backs. Simpson is a relative newcomer who has barely begun to climb, while Yates is experienced.

Language.la.psu.edu[Language.la.psu.edu] "In the Scene": A Motorcycle Blog: Hunter, Noise and "Baaaa": And, I should clarify, by "sheepness" I don't mean motorcycle riding, as my hypothesis is that those who partake of other "in the scene" activities, and who relish those activities, are less offended (if at all) by our noise, whether or not they ride bikes themselves. Your neighbors who live life likely don't even notice, let alone care, about your V&H's or Bubs, while those who live their lives devoted to security and invisibility, avoiding being "in the scene" at all costs, are the ones whose voices are loudest in opposition to hearing us, and knowing we "exist".

Spaces.msn.com[Spaces.msn.com] Blog: On a different note, if you want to see what goes on in the sleepy village in which I live then my neighbour Scott has got his webcam up and running. You can't see my house but it's just around the corner!

http://quaequam.blogspot.com [Quaequam.blogspot.com] Quaequam Blog!: 09/01/2003 - 09/30/2003: The situation is this: my local MP, "gung ho platoon commander" James Plaskitt, has an office with a huge blank white wall facing the street, which I walk past on the way home every day. Ever since the Commons vote on whether to go to war or not, some anonymous person has taken it upon him/herself to sprawl this wall with anti-war, or more precisely anti-Plaskitt, slogans, such as "BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS!!!" and "BABY KILLER!!!".

http://blog.mises.org [Blog.mises.org] Mises Economics Blog: The Myth of "Peak Oil": If the handful of people who post on the Mises blog couldn't make a pencil, much less most of the other common goods and appliances we all have, it's not surprising that we few don't have the answer to the energy problem. And yet, pencils and all these other goods and such are made, in great quantities, every year.
