[exopolitics.com] THE LAUNCHING OF THE NEW ENERGY MOVEMENT: Proton - Boron fusion was mentioned, where a high-voltage reaction with decaborane produces four Helium in the form of alpha particles with no neutron radioactivity. Dense plasma is focused in a unique device which produces the 1 billion degrees (100 keV) necessary to make Hydrogen and Boron-11 fuse together into Helium without high energy neutrons being released.
[Matthewholt.net] The Health Care Blog: Finally and OT for this blog but as both Medpundit and RangelMD lead with it I'll make an exception, ask yourself the following question: If you had access to at least $750,000 in cash, a false passport and a huge price on your head, wouldn't you have shaved off the mustache, lost the beret, snuck over the border and been on the first plane to the south of France like this guy and this other guy did it?
[Dreamszz.blogspot.com] Dreams Unlimited© - Christian Peper's web site, blog and home page: (Source: Coworking) There is another interesting research article on blogs and their lifespan... Applications: As The Blogs Churn: "The disparity between the Perseus research and NITLE's figures apparently lies in the type of blogs that were analyzed. The Perseus survey analyzed the estimated 4.12 million sites that have been created on blog-hosting services, such as Blog-City, BlogSpot, Diaryland, LiveJournal, Pitas, TypePad, Weblogger and Xanga, while the NITLE index includes standalone blogs as well as hosted."
[Physics.uiuc.edu] Physics Blog: The first tornado watch of the season got the blogmeister thinking about the physics of tornados, which appears to be poorly understood. The destructiveness of a tornado is rated on the Fujita scale, and the deadliest tornado in history occurred in southern Illinois.
[Cosmicparadigm.com] UFO News Blog - Current Sightings - Latest News: "For more than four months we have received no response from NASA, but one day after John Podesta, President Clinton's former chief of staff and member of the Moynihan Commission, and Bonnie Hammer, president of SCI FI Channel, called on government agencies to make public records that are over 25 years old, lo and behold, NASA responds," Helfrich said in a statement.
[Physcomments.org] Diverse Blog Feeds | Physics Comments: I am not sure whether you are, Lee, just joking, but it simply does not sound terribly serious if someone writes that the young scientists should become more original, but at the same time, he tells them that they should be working exactly on Lee's favorite problems. As everyone who reads this blog already understands, the question whether the basic probabilistic structure of quantum mechanics is a good framework may have been a question at the frontier of physics around 1927, but it is definitely not an interesting question for current research in 2005. Someone who wants to reject these foundations of quantum mechanics is not a new Einstein: he or she is an old Einstein - but an old Einstein that only has Einstein's flaws and failures but not his virtues and victories.
