Perdana Replacement Model to be a Volkswagen Passat?
[ paultan.org - Cars, technology, gadgets, and alot of other random stuff.] Proton’s Perdana Replacement Model will be based on a Volkswagen Passat. Proton is already going to build the previous generation Passat for sale in ASEAN markets for Volkswagen so it might OEM the model for it’s own Perdana.

[Jeffooi.com] Screenshots...: Malaysian Auto Scene: Entreprenuerism or Decadent ...: Last week, Proton CEO Tengku Mahaleel Tengku Ariff rolled his eyes in craven, orgiastic delight at his own unabashed fantasy of being able to secure Bentley as part of the Volkswagen-Proton non-brand-specific-MOU. If this can be excused as a merely spontaneous and relatively innocuous frivolity, and that I should lighten up, it belies the fact that there must have been a serious strategic intent in the acquisition of Lotus.
