[The Racing Blog] Audi oil-burner wins Le Mans: I wonder though, considering they were four laps down from the lead and could have been many more if the Audi hadn't controlled the pace later on in the race, how do they feel about coming back for another attempt in 2007, knowing that not only will Peugeot be there with a factory diesel car, but there will also likely be customer Audi R10s to deal with as well. Pescarolo cannot realistically expect to win without diesel power now and their withdrawal from the LMP1 could mean it is contested by just Audi and Peugeot for the next few years.

Another interesting peice of trivia is that McQueen holds1 US patent #D219584 (click picture to enlarge) for something that millions of people use everyday while driving -

[Exaflop.org] The Racing Blog - Mulsanne Mike talks about the Audi R10: The R8 wasn't an especially quick car over a single lap - the MG Lola EXP was almost as fast and it wasn't even in the top class and in 2005 the DBA/Zytec was much faster due to the equivalency rules imposed on the old R8 chassis. Even so, when raced against cars of similar pace, the R8 had a huge advantage due to it's Direct Injection V8 engine.

[37signals.com] The new Audi TT - Signal vs. Noise (by 37signals): While I agree that it does look an aweful lot like the Z, and also a wee bit Porschesque, I’ve never really faulted people much for copying stuff as long as the end result was ultimately an improvement. The only tiny issue I have with the new TT design is the way the rear hatch meets the rest of the car’s body.
