Funky Cars > "Make Your Own Tahoe Commercial" debacle makes it onto Nightline

[Autoblog] Honestly, the Tahoe is ridiculous and I'd probably never buy one, but it *IS* a nice vehicle (comfortable, nice interior, powerful, etc, etc...) and a lot better than the old one. If you absolutely need something that big and thirst for V8 power and a nice ride, I'd much rather have this than say, a Sequioa.

[On Social Marketing and Social Change] Content Competitions: Contests asking people from a priority audience to create content (print, radio and video ads; poetry; posters; etc) are nothing new in many social marketing and health communications programs. The embrace of it by major advertisers, however, has been getting a lot of scrutiny by people like Andy Beal at Marketing Pilgrim. Not all the coverage

http://www.varien.com/blog [ Varien Blog :: Los Angeles Web Development and E-Commerce Solution Firm] Blogging as PR: Watch what you say: GM: The current post on GM’s Fastlane Blog is, “It’s Not All Bad.” OK…I’m trying to collect my thoughts because it’s just too easy to rip on GM right now, but SERIOUSLY? When looking at these blogs I thought the worst part would be the PR jargon and marketing spin, but this display of honesty is just too much.

CLOG (CarLog)http://spaces.msn.com/sternspace [CLOG (CarLog)] '07 Tahoe: So GM introduced their all-new full-size SUVs around the time that the price of gas reached around $3 a gallon - not the most brilliant move. Sure, they do have relatively fuel-efficient V8s, but relatively is the operative word here.

Collisiondetection.net[Collisiondetection.net] collision detection: a blog of clive thompson: All the stock scenes that Chevy offers on its ad-generator -- Tahoes cruising confidently around hairpin turns, Tahoes astride the edge of waterfalls, Tahoes stacked improbably on the peak of a snowy mountain -- are already parked so close to the precipice of self-parody that it requires only the slightest nudge to send them tumbling over. To witness yet another shot of an SUV sluicing through watery vale, or gunning it across a Saharan desert, or roaring down a cobblestoned city street, is to confront American power-fantasy insecurities so gibberingly moist and obvious that they're not even subtext any more -- they're just .

That means that introduction of phosphorus at this point has the most impact on algal growth (per Redfield Ratio theory).

[Forrester.typepad.com] Charlene Li's Blog: (And for newspapers thinking about podcasting, putting print stories into audio format just ranked ahead of original content from bloggers) I think this has something to do with 1) original content just isn’t as well known; and 2) existing content benefits from users that simply want to time shift it.

"On the Streets of America" every 9 out of 10 people I talk to worry about the continuing rise of fuel costs and talk about how Domestic companies like GM seem like they are ignoring the largest share of the market - passenger cars.
