Funky Cars > Low mileage higher cost wrx or high mileage low cost fixer ...

[Subaru WRX Forum: WRX Forums] Now I used to be a huge horsepower freak and loved upgrading whatever I had at the time but I'm starting to get more responsible and extremely frugal. My main fear is the tranny grenading so I'm thinking it might be best to spend the extra (but not be able to mod) or possibly have to fork over what seems to be about 5 grand for a new one if I bought a cheaper wrx.

[Victoria Advocate stories: Business] Victoria Advocate | Subaru WRX is a wild hatchback: The pricing of lower-level WRX models like the one I tested is very competitive with other small AWD sporty cars like the Audi A3 Quattro and Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart. By the time you reach the upper end of the WRX range, however, more sophisticated sporty all-wheel drive cars like the Audi A4 and Cadillac CTS are available.

[ClubWRX Forum - Subaru Impreza WRX and STi Community and Forums] 2004 Subaru WRX,Low Miles,Garage Kept,Extended Warrenty: This car was purchased in August of last year completely stock from Fred Beans Subaru Dealership in Doylestown (With 34500 Miesl on it) with the Factory Warranty still on the car, along with the purchase of an Extended Warranty. (Which can be transfered to the buyer) Since I have purchased the vehicle the car has been my weekend driver, only driven on very sunny days and kept in the best condition a car can be kept in.

[Jalopnik: Top] 2008 Chevy Cobalt SS Sedan, Part Three: You think cars with 82-way power seats, pop-up navigation systems and hand-stitched leathery bits are the last word in high-performance. Greasy bits like a high-tech turbocharged 2.0-liter direct injection four-cylinder, Brembo brakes and limited-slip differential hold no interest for you if the outside looks like a vanilla ice cream sundae.

[ClubWRX Forum - Subaru Impreza WRX and STi Community and Forums] FS 2007 Satin Pearl White STi - ClubWRX Forum - Subaru Impreza WRX ...: In fact it still has the OEM Turbo, IC, Injectors, Cooling system, brake pads, clutch, sound system, suspension and everything else not listed as a “Mod”. Also, a brand new set of Bridgestone Blizzak LM25’s (less than 2k on them now) were put on for the winter.

[AcuraZine Community] I did 40.1 MPG highway on BONE STOCK TSX 08, take that lexus ...: this was coming back from a trip Virginia Tech to Northern Virginia if anyone on this forums knows that area of western virginia they can vouch for the mountainous roads. and even so 38.8 is still freaking awesome

[Subdriven: The Car Lounge] Subdriven: Mazdaspeed 3 vs Subaru WRX: Today I see the WRX and I see a car that's one of the last gasps of the '90s golden age of Japanese turbo cars. The Mazdaspeed 3 is the new blood, and it says good things about an uncertain future, but it doesn't have the "high school sweetheart" appeal to it for me that old girls like the WRX do.

[ClubWRX Forum - Subaru Impreza WRX and STi Community and Forums] New to suby..Why the &#^$ did nobody tell me the wrx comes in a 5 ...: BUT if the wrx is rated at 224 flywheel, that should show up as like 190whp, not 210whp like it does. Also torque shows at 226, meaning it should be down around 190wtq BUT it shows up as 20wtq higher than the flywheel rating @ 245wtq!

[IH8MUD Forums] Fun sporty cars for under $10K with good mpg - IH8MUD Forums: I really need something with a back seat so I can haul a few people occasionally. I am 100% open to suggestions, but here is the list I'm considering for now: Classic Mini Cooper, Datsun 510, BMW 2002, Mazda RX2, RX3 or RX4, 1991-1994 Nissan Sentra SER?

[Allknown Autos Blog] 2008 Chevy Cobalt SS Sedan, Part Three [Jalopnik Reviews]: We’ve taken a look at the 2008 Chevy Cobalt SS sedan and had a rollicking good time doing it, but who should buy such a car-shaped rocket ship?

[Long-Term Road Tests] 2008 BMW 135i: Stonk Fast | Long-Term Road Tests Blog on Edmunds ...: It's too bad about you and your friends' WRXs, but once again, we don't really know what your friends did to them or how they were driven. I have owned 3 subarus and have NEVER had a mechanical problem.

[drive blog] drive blog: Subaru launches a new WRX. Again: Lolz, agree totally, ugly piece of crap, and subaru know that as well, so they are over-emphasizing on the straight line stats, cos let's face it, I cannot recall another new car on the raod these days, with appearnces such a turn off, maybe the Micra is another one. Even with their straight line claim, it is WAY WAY WAY too optimistic, high 5 seconds or even 6 in real world driving condition, with that piece of crap old fashioned 5 speed (AGAIN, no other performance car in the world these days still has only a 5 speed option available).

[ScoobyBlog.Com] » 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Road and Track Test | Subaru News ...: OK, Subarus WRX STi is hardly an econobox, what with 300 enthusiastic horsepower peaking at 6,000 rpm and an equally outrageous 300 lb-ft of torque ripping into four corners of asphalt simultaneously via the Japanese automakers now legendary symmetrical all-wheel drive, theres plenty to differentiate it from a $18,295 Impreza 2.5i. No, theres only one rally replica that rivals the WRX STi, Mitsubishis sensational EVO IX, and its sensational too.

[Eddietheman999's Blog] Turbo's are evil things! « Eddietheman999's Blog: I'm always entranced when I see a smooth gliding skyline drives past, or a grunting WRX, or a supra spooling up it's turbo's then barreling down the street. Oh my god, Fast and Furious came out a few weeks ago.

[The Driving Woman] 2009 BMW M3: The First Test | Long-Term Road Tests Blog on Edmunds ...: To me, the magazines seem reluctant to test them in a conventional comparo so as of now, all we can go on are the numbers (unless any of you have personally driven them back to back which may be the case). The only caveat is that the CTS-V manual is slower than the automatic until you get well above 120 mph so comparing to the M cars is more an apples to oranges matchup in terms of pure acceleration.

[Cuppytalk] New car advice needed!: Even if gas mileage isn't your main concern the Prius is a great car. Incredibly roomy, great field of view, despite not being a big car you don't feel low to the ground, lots of nice features and the hatch back gives you lots of transport options without having to buy a big SUV or ugly station wagon.

[CarDomain Car Blog] Chevy HHR SS vs. MAZDASPEED3: Which Would You Choose? - CarDomain Blog: As far as comparing the HHR SS to the Speed3, the Mazda is just overall a better car, better construction, reliability, and parts. The Cobalt SS turbo may be a bit better looking on paper, but when it’s as close as it and the speed3 are in performance the better driver will end up being the deciding factor.
