Funky Cars > Holy Crap, A Saturn I Dont Hate
[autoblog.robotshuffle] Slated to come out late next year, the 2007 Saturn Sky is based off of the new hottness that’s taking forever to come out, the Pontiac Solstice. Motor Trend thinks that it’ll give the Miata and a Z4 a run for their money, but we’ll see about that. It shares the 2.4 liter ECOTEC engine with the Cavalier and the Solstice, producing 170hp.

[21st Century Paladin] Brand Affects Perception: Why Were All Biased: Here’s a quick little quiz. I’ll show you three pictures of some new concept cars with their brand logo airbrushed out. You give me your honest evaluation of the cars styling. Then, when I reveal the company that produced each one, try to guage whether that improves or degrades your view of that car.

[Forums.gminsidenews.com] GMInsideNews Forums - Lutz: Solstice $19995 with destination!: I have no need for such a car, but I love it, and feel an irrational impulse purchase coming on. Concerning the SKY, I believe it will be 25K, fully loaded. Apparently, it has standard equipment, which will be options on the Solstice. A friend saw one at the Philadelphia Autoshow, and this guy is not a "Car Guy", or a GM enthusiast, but he raved about this new Saturn.
[Autoblog.com] Detroit Auto Show: Saturn Sky - Autoblog - www.autoblog.com _: I drive a '96 SL2 with 255000 miles on it, and it still runs fine; and before that I was in a '97 SL2 5-speed with 165000 miles on it (mom's car) and there haven't been any problems with either (other than a possible broken motor mount on the '97). And for a completely stock car it still outperforms other cars at races, even with the 255K miles and an automatic transmission. The Sky may not be up to par the first year or two, but I assume that the Red Line option would be added to it within a year or two of release. After driving the Ion Red Line Quad Coupe, I think adding that option to the Sky will increse the number of potential buyers.
[Geekswithblogs.net] Saturn Sky: Sounds like this Saturn is a good car, with slight performance over its cousin coming out next year, the Pontiac Solstice, although I think that with a sticker price of 25k is much more than I would pay, isnt Saturn a bargin Basement kinda car company? I would think before reading the official statement from the 05' car show that the roadster would be 15 or 17k, not the 25k they claim. Buy the Pontiac version if your not into a slight power increase, probley would value better as time wears on as well, thats what I'm doing. Cost 5 grand less too.
