Funky Cars > Gumball?

[thoughts of the driver] Yesterday me and sulkd watched the movie ‘6 days in may’, which accounts for the 2004 Gumball 3000 rally. I didn’t know much about last years rally before watching the movie, however I knew that the Reyland escort would be there, and that it rolled somewhere along the way. Naturally I was excited about seeing the movie, and hoped to see some high speed stunts I could be in awe of.

A "gumball" form factor of chewing tobacco?! Now that would require a level of either immaturity or idiocy (both mortal sins in teendom) as cornerstone customer demographics in order to introduce for the first time... but, as the slogan of the campaign says, "it might be funnier if it wasn't true".

[Kbweb.blogspot.com] herbie the love blog: September 2004: The biggest question mark for TLAWSZ is that for the first time, a Wes Anderson picture is not co-written by Owen Wilson, which is understandable, since if Wilson had time to co-write a screenplay in between all his co-starring with Ben Stiller, that would be an incredible feat indeed. It remains to be seen how large an impact this will actually have on the film. I always imagined Owen Wilson to be a Graham Chapman kind of collaborator, the kind of guy who will let you do all the work until you get stuck and turn to him, and suddenly he's there with a terrific idea or a totally unexpected line you never would have thought of, and it fuels you for hours until you eventually turn to him again. Wilson seems to be a major presence in the film, with his most prominent role in an Anderson film since Bottle Rocket, so his influence will surely be felt regardless of his lack of writing credit.

[Blog.nonny.com] Nonny's Blog: General Archives: Two of my favourite comedians are John Cleese and Rowan Atkinson, for two different reasons. Cleese is zany, wild and full of original stunts and sketches in the Monty Python style. I loved his character in Fawlty Towers and his various movie roles are also quite brilliant. His role as Q in the more recent Bond films see him as a little less than his usual comic self.

The edgy funnyman brandishes his unique style of streetsmart comedy to skewer everything from car commercials to the KKK, blending sketches, parodies, stand-up, and musical guest performances into a hilarious sendup of modern American life. This collection includes all 13 episodes of the series' second season, which introduces Eddie Murphy's brother Charlie and his classic real-life segments about singer Rick James.
