Funky Cars > Fix or repair daily?

[thoughts of the driver] Today I left work at 15:20 or so, because I wanted to get my car fixed, it’s been out of commission since last thursday, when that little plastic cube thingy went loose again. The purpose of that plastic cube is to keep firmly in place the lever which turns a shaft to engage and disengage the gears (the up/down motion with the gearstick). Shifting is entirely possible without this little plastic cube, however it feels more loose and will probably cause wear in bad places...

Mass reorganization with 10 new people scattered around. Eventually instead of moving downstairs like it was planned, I'll be shoved into the back with the new dept.

http://19thoughts.blogspot.com [19 Thoughts] It's only Tuesday and We're All in the Same Gang: This really isn't much of a rap and is a precurser for the inanity that is EFIL4ZAGGIN. Ice Cube was such a great writer that they became just shadows of themselves. One thing that bugged me about this though is that NWA was supposed to be "the most dangerous band on Earth" and they weren't supposed to give a shit about anything, yet they are trying to increase the peace. That doesn't jive with their reputations.

There needs to be a Geneva Convention for workers. Something to protect us during those 10 minute breaks or half hour lunches. Anything to provide a barrier from the stupidity of a cube farm office and the maniacal little manager men of the world out to make my life hell.

Having 4 current and one former lawmaker arrested under you watch will reflect badly on Bredesen, I wonder if he will blog about it. I just got finished listening to a live news conference that Governor Bredesen just gave. He expressed the idea that this was bad for the state and that this would be trying time.

[Soul-sides.com] soul sides: I met Bambouche through the Soulstrut.com forums and he and his man Aspirin have both dropped a cool, DIY 7" inspired by the call to armed resistance. B's track is based around a 1968 speech by Eldridge Cleaver (former Black Panther founder, later avowed anti-Communist) and rather than being on some bumrush-the-streets-with-guns-blazing energy, it's more like bad-boys-move-in-silence with its slinky grooves and laid back tempo.

[Regentbookstore.com] Regent Bookstore :: Footnotes: The “Europe problem” that Weigel poses is at its root a problem of “cultural and civilizational morale.” Simply put, Europe is severing completely its Christian roots at a time when it is committing demographic suicide with a birthrate that is far below replacement levels. It is into this vacuum that Muslim immigration flows. Given this scenario Weigel asks whether the “cube” will better protect human rights than the “cathedral.” The only hope that Weigel has for a Europe in which human rights are respected is for Europe to be reconverted.
