Funky Cars > F1: Start was exciting”¦Then blank screen

[Nithin on WWW] The start of the European GP was real exciting with two cars namely Mark Webber and Montoyo clashing with one another at turn 1, which forced Webber to retire. The Ferrari team were once again the biggest loser in this, both their cars were stuck in this traffic and were pushed many places back.

My View From Las Vegas[My View From Las Vegas] European Grand Prix Formula 1: Fernando Alonso took his fourth win of the season at the European Grand Prix, in what was a tense race that seemed to be going Kimi Raikkonen's way. But in the closing laps, when Raikkonen was leading, his McLaren had trouble with the right front tyre and eventually the Finn crashed out on the last lap, promoting Alonso's Renault to the lead and the victory.

[Montreal Escorts Lists] Webber ready for North American challenge: Mark Webber has made a promise to make sure he does well at the Canadian Grand Prix. The Montreal is well suited to the power of the BMW engine and Webber believes this could be Williams’ chance, Montreal doesn’t require as much aerodynamic downforce as the last two races. Webber

[Jim.webber.name] World Wide Webber - Jim Webber's Blog: There's no animosity between these two camps (I think), and indeed MEST owes much to REST. But as Bill and DaveO note, there is animosity between the REST and Web Services camps. OK, so it used to really nark me when the REST camp got on its high horse but through that needling I came to realise that Web Services was indeed in a pretty poor state (and WSDL 2.0 does little to help). Nonetheless it doesn't mean that you have to be a RESTifarian if you don't like the patterns and practices coming out of some parts of the WS community, you too can become a MESTian.

[Drrw.blogspot.com] Letters from America: We drove every hybrid out there, but as soon as I drove the Honda Civic manual I fell in love (it was the last one too!)The European handling and manual transmission are just a joy to drive. And it lives up to its numbers - you really can get 48mpg on a regular basis driving normally - eg not like a granny! The winter weather does knock down that.

http://blog.sun.com [Blog.sun.com] Paul Humphreys's Weblog: The start was slow for the William's duo again, meaning Kimi snatched first place off Heidfeld. Webber lost out at the first corner ( so often this corner causes problems) and admitted fault when he banged cars with the monster. The track was clearly tough on tyres and drivers with many falling off the track.

Ciquest.shef.ac.ukhttp://ciquest.shef.ac.uk [Ciquest.shef.ac.uk] Information Literacy Weblog: She began by reflecting on the complexity and lack of determinism in the universe “not random but not entirely predictable.” Barbara talked about Mandelbrot (he of the Sets) and his question about the length of the British coastline (the answer from him was that it was ”infinite” - see the ref. at the end of this blog entry) I also noted down “What you observe depends on what you are looking for.” I think that in this introduction she was leading up to a reflection on how depicting complexity as simple (e.g. reducing “information literacy” as a series of steps) was problematic.
