Russ Kaufmann[Russ Kaufmann] New Vehicle: So, as we get back, I tell the dealer that the Celine Dion thing really bugs me, and I will have to do some more research. He clearly doesn't understand how much I dislike Celine. He then says the well rehearsed pitch that all salesmen say, "What would it take to get you in this car today?" I flippantly say, "Take $11,000 off the sticker price." He then says if I am serious, we can probably make something like that happen. OK, I bit, now I have to fight the fisherman.

[Keeping up with Ms. Jones] It's In My Genetic Code: Get a good looking convertible and drive around with the top down.) Soon my process of looking for new wheels began in earnest. I really wanted a vintage Mercedes or Jaguar, or some sexy little sports car. After find out we were expecting and needing to be a bit more practical, the SU brought me my Jeep for my Birthday/Valentines present.

http://www.stevetsuida.com/blog [Steve Tsuida's Blog v4.0] Congratulations Bill, and yes, you're still crazy. Jellyfish vs. umbrella, round two.: The Mac appeared and then didn't catch on and then shrank into the some of the worlds most popular obscurity within a half a year. The iPod has more or less controlled is market since its October 2001 launch.

Autoblog - www.autoblog.com _: Add $1,500 to the base car for the Sun & Sound package that adds the 650-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system and power sunroof. The V-6 powered GT will ring in at $23,699 for the manual and $24,599 for the five-speed automatic. You can max the GT out with the Premium Sport Package ($3,270) which adds leather, 18-inch wheels, Auto AC, power driver’s seat, heated font seats and heated outside mirrors along with the 650-watt stereo and power sunroof. That puts a loaded GT at about $28,000, right about where it was predicted to be.

Chrysler hybrids may be on the way - Autoblog - www.autoblog.com _: It was only a matter of time but no one expected Chrysler to roll out hybrids as early as 2006 as was hinted at by Chrysler Group CEO Dieter Zetsche at a company event in Santa Barbara, California. “We will be there in the hybrid market as well. Obviously, not as one of the first, but we will be there.” No definitely not the first that’s for sure and there’s no word on which vehicles may receive a hybrid engine, but 100 diesel-electric Dodge Ram trucks are heading out to fleet customers this year.

LA Car.com - The Cars and Culture of Southern California Magazine ...: Looks like Chuck Dapoz's "300C, Doggy Style" (below) is getting a lot of buzz on VWVortex.com (the Vortex, for the unenlightened, is the world's busiest automotive forum). The general consensus seems to be that DaimlerChrysler CEO Dieter Zetsche has to be crazy not to give Snoop Dogg a 300C or two. Evidently, the car has the potential to become the next Cadillac Escalade in the world of gangsta rappers.

Googlezon: Even more interesting is the notion that the ID cards would contain and RFID chip. Interesting in that personal freedoms could be at stake as the US government, and commercial businesses beginning to scan the RFID tag to create national databases. Nothing to stop the government from putting RFID readers in every major bus terminal, train station and airport. The ID of RFID scares me more then anything.
