[Alan Collins, The Twydall Tory] I should point out here that I support the Conservative administration of Medway Council, and the principle of the Smart Car. [Gazette | News] Council to consider parking restrictions in roads near hospital ...: If there is insufficient parking for the new football stadium penalise the idiots who gave planning permission without taking this into consideration! [Green Car Advisor] "Pretzel Logic: Taxing Motorists Based on Miles Traveled, Not ...: Toprak views mileage taxation as a double whammy: Not only would it not encourage people to buy alternate-fuel and fuel-efficient vehicles, it would hurt most of the motorists who already have done that - mainly people with long commutes. Most of those people can't afford to live closer to where they work, and unlike London, Paris and other major metropolises, America's big cities generally don't offer good public-transportation options.

[The Truth About Cars] Question of the Day: Should States Have Mandatory Annual Safety ...: I just don’t think we have the room for bilingual road signs, and the added confusion would make driving even more dangerous than it already is. I’ve not been overseas, so I don’t know for sure…but I wouldn’t expect to be allowed to drive in Germany, China, or Japan if I couldn’t read and understand the signage, so therefore, I think it’s reasonable to make all US testing in English.
