And in case you weren't aware, advertising in a gay mag now automatically puts a big ol' target on the backs of America's companies.

I got a fever.: There's an interview with Kristen Bell in Out Magazine this month. Apparently she was named the "Hottest Girl We'd Go Straight For." Um, that's kind of the awesomest award ever. (via Cosmos)

Here is the description OUT gave of that article: "Rockin' and raunchy queer clubs are making a comeback, and we tell you where the three hottest places to play are." http://www.jquinton.com [Jeff Quinton - Backcountry Conservative] AFA's Conquest Against Ford Will Hurt America: Lately the American Family Association (AFA) has been putting a full court press against Ford Motor Company to cease and desist their support of homosexual marriages. While, ideologically, I agree with AFA that gay marriage is an immoral and unacceptable practice that should never be legal, I find their campaign a tad bit bothersome from an economic perspective.

In addition, we advertise in publications whose primary focus is gay sex."OK, now on to the hilarious pyrrhic victory quote of the day, from Don Wildmon:

Pandagonhttp://pandagon.net [ Pandagon] Ford drop-kicks the anti-gay shareholder... : I belong to a parish whose head priest is a partnered gay man, I live in the only Anglican diocese in the entire world where priests are able to bless same-sex marriages in our churches (and between our diocese doing that and Gene Robinson becoming the bishop of an Episcopalian diocese, Canada and the US almost ended up leaving the Worldwide Anglican Communion last year), and when I meet fundies online or in real life, I vigorously disagree with them. There are progressive Christian voices out there (look at Slacktivist or Sojourners, for example).

http://americablog.blogspot.com [Americablog.blogspot.com] AMERICAblog: Because a great nation deserves the truth: Ford challenges us to keep an eye out on their upcoming ads in order to verify that they will in fact be tailored. There is no other way to read this than that Ford did the right thing. Whether or not an agreement was reached with the American Family Association - and the AFA has a record of crowing about such "victories" when no such victory occurred (sounds a lot like our president) - Ford has rectified the real or perceived problem, and the AFA has been shown to have no clothes (other than a very rusty chastity belt).
