[Consumer Reports Cars Blog] Stretching your fuel dollars: Consumer Reports Cars Blog: And considering the 6 speed will achieve most likely better gas mileage than the GM configured 2.4 I4 with the 4 speed automatic in their epsilon based mid-size cars (they certainly do by the EPA mpg figures) that comparison would not be entirely accurate as it relates to the Aura and the Malibu LTZ equipped with this powertrain. [GM FastLane] (Almost) Summer Driving | GM FastLane: Bob, the state of GM is simple, you guys just don’t listen..we ask for a good solid muscle car and you give us an SSR truck or have to go to Austrailia to import the GTO or put a big engine in a caddy (CTS_V) with a unaffordable price tag….Ted Cole, Zora Duntov, and Bill Mitchell are rolling over in the graves…GM is dying slowing..simply because you guys and gals in the DETROIT Culture DON’T LISTEN…while you study, Chrysler and Ford are producing excitment…you produce SUVs and Trucks… I miss the old GM…sorry but I have seen the demise of the Camaro, Firebird, Buick GN, Buick GS, Olds 442, Impala SS (94-96), and the list goes on only to be replaced by Japanese clones, Malibu, G6, Cobalt, LaCrosse (know as the Buick Taurus), and the famous Aztec….sorry Bob…maybe you need to get back in your plane a fly away…

[Autoblog] In the Autoblog Garage: 2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS - Autoblog: The average, everyday driver (raises hand) wheeling a Cayenne GTS will likely never come close to the handling limits that Porsche has engineered into this SUV. Mostly, you'll just have good, clean fun while devouring long, curved on-ramps under power and tackling your favorite local driving roads on the weekends.

[VehicleVoice News] VehicleVoice News:: The lefties would wail about corporate welfare, despite the near-insolvency of GM and Ford, and moan about the global warming though bringing the SUV/crossover/minivan fad to an absolute end would be well worth some short-term flexibility on gas mileage, even in environmental terms. Besides, there's a vast reservoir of energy savings to be had cutting back on that sacred-cow of the never-let-em-see-you-sweat crowd: air conditioning in homes and businesses.
