Smart cars getting smart reviews

[American Car Freak] I personally will settle for a bike for one BIG reason I am 6′7 and I don’t think though I’d fit I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the ride as much. Speaking of “ride” that is the biggest complaint that we are hearing about them too is that the consumers can feel all the bumps on the road.

HB Ride Spotting: Jeep Wrangler CRD 4-Door, Possibly

[How Bourgeois] I think that sometimes Chrysler puts these CRD (common-rail diesel) badges on the test cars just to throw off people taking pictures, so this might or might not be a Jeep Wrangler CRD mule driving up Woodward this morning. I have seen them before, and there are old pictures on the web of Wrangler CRDs, but it is commonly assumed that eventually Jeep will announce a domestic market diesel Wrangler.

Chrysler plans to make vehicle improvemens on the fly

[Winding Road] They have chopped the car in two…and added a significant amount of parts, metal, wires, welds, labor, etc undoubtedly making the car less than 50% Ferrari in either weight, volume, performance or almost any other criteria. Ferrari has an excellent case as this modification clearly lowers the perception of the trademark.

A chance remark by the famed talk-show host a few days before the event let the cat out of the bag. It’s noted here because estimates were that over 100,000 people showed up. I was in Colorado where the bake sale was held and it nearly buried the whole state in traffic. So, any of you that go, be careful and drop me a comment on how it went. OK?

The Used Hybrid SUV Market Is Heating Up!

[hybridsuv.com] Used Saturn Vue Green Line: A little surprising how few are for sale here. Only 2 as of the time of this article, $19,000 to $22,000 roughly. These debuted as 2007 models and inventory levels were non-existant in the later half of ‘07. Even with the 2008 model on the way, used hybrid Saturn suv’s might be scarce for another year or two.
